Weekend Soundtrack

A few weeks ago, my friend Mandy and I were talking about how much we love a cappella music, and it's kind of been my go-to station on Pandora ever since. Do you like this style of music? I am in love.  Here's a few selections I could play on repeat.

As a whole, I love the group Straight No Chaser. Seriously, pick one of their songs, and I will not be disappointed. The group began when they were college students, and now they have several albums and perform on tour. If I had to choose just one a cappella group to listen to, they would probably be it.

Right after Mandy and I talked about a cappella music, she sent me a link for the video below. I will admit I love Taylor Swift's music (every time a new song comes out, I'm hesitant but then it grows on me and before I know it, I know all of the words and unabashedly sing along in the car) and this cover makes me love this song even more. It's done by a group called Walk of the Earth. I'm not familiar with this group but from what I can tell, they do not typically perform a cappella...regardless, I really like their sound and their version of this song in particular.

Last but not least, Mike and I were introduced to the group Naturally 7 when we saw Michael Buble in Grand Rapids a few years ago. The group performed as the opening act, and we were left wanting to hear more! I haven't kept up with their music, but I'm super impressed how much these guys sound like real instruments (as opposed to sounding like synthesized music). So great!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! After I wrote about how I was craving summer and how I'm tired of single digit temps, winter storm "Nemo" dumped 6 inches of snow on us...sweet. But in true Michigan form, it's supposed to be sunny and fairly warm already this weekend (35-40 degrees is warm, by the way). Our weather is so unpredictable...I want spring to come and stay!
